Press Release Body = (JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - October 18, 2006) The Art Institutes today announced the addition of The Art Institute of Jacksonville to its system of schools in January 2007.
With its first day of class slated for January 8, 2007, The Art Institute of Jacksonville will occupy approximately 47,000 square feet at 8775 Baypine Road, and has easy access to Interstate 95. The Art Institute of Jacksonville will begin enrolling students immediately.
"The Art Institute of Jacksonville will offer curricula that complement the demand for arts education in the northern Florida region," says John Mazzoni, president of The Art Institutes. "We are confident that the school will enable students to achieve their professional aspirations while making a meaningful contribution to their communities."
Initially, The Art Institute of Jacksonville will offer bachelor's degree programs in Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, and Interior Design; and associate's degree programs in Graphic Design and Interactive Media Design.
"Our aim is to become an integral part of the educational landscape here," says Erika Orris, newly appointed president of The Art Institute of Jacksonville. "Our academic programs are selected to respond to current statewide employment trends and provide in-demand degrees to students wishing to enter growing industries."
The Art Institutes have three additional school locations in Florida: The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, The Art Institute of Tampa, and Miami International University of Art & Design.
